Bosses of ports in France and Belgium have warned the UK that clock is ticking on a Brexit deal, claiming the can “never be ready” if a deal is not nailed down soon.

“it is a “shambles” that just nine months from leaving the EU businesses have “no idea what the government intends to do”.

“This will have practical impacts on people’s lives. And as sure as night follows day all the extra Brexit costs will fall on the public through higher fees, fares and costs,”
