Gareth Thomas MP is calling for people from all businesses and occupations to come forward and help Harrow’s bright lights consider their career choices
Last year, Gareth’s Careers Fair in collaboration with Rooks Heath College was the only event in Harrow’s calendar to bring together pupils from local state schools and over 20 companies and institutions, from the British Film Institute and Heathrow, to the NHS and the Met Police, to a CV and cover letter workshop from Google.
This year, due to the COVID pandemic, instead of the large gathering in a school hall, Gareth is hoping to organise a virtual Fair – one that pupils from across Harrow will be able to tune in and ask questions as people discuss their Careers.
Gareth wants YOU to get involved and share exactly what brought you to your career path. The MP for Harrow West says, “You can join from the comfort of your own living room – all we want is someone willing to talk with Harrow’s brightest lights about the career paths you have taken. If you can offer any support yourself or for another contact – please send me an e-mail with the subject Careers Fair to email@example.com”
Hundreds of pupils from schools and colleges were in attendance last year, playing host to representatives from over 25 businesses and companies from across the country.
Are you able to offer a bit of career advice on your profession or business? If so, I would like to hear from you. I’m in the process of organising my second (virtual) Careers Fair with Harrow schools. Later this year, I want to see even more professions and businesses speaking with the bright lights of Harrow’s future – so please get in touch via e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org with subject ‘Careers Fair’ 🎬📊✈️⚖️🍰
